Sloan Management School

Anyone admitted into MIT's Sloan School of Management? If so, post your stats please. I may apply next year, I want to see how I stack up = ).

Anyone admitted to MIT can choose to pursue coursework at Sloan or any other department offering undergraduate study. The indicated area of interest on Part 1 of the application is not binding and does not affect your decision. That said, I plan to double in 6 & 15. :)

What I'm saying is that you are admitted to the Institute, not to a specific program or course. You choose your major in the second year. :) Therefore, people here might not know if they will be taking Sloan classes yet, since they aren't required to decide until well after they matriculate.

Wow that's really cool how you choose your major the second year. Ok so now my question is this. I don't want to go into math or science, so my EC's and pretty much my whole application aren't geared toward that, they are more set towards Business, Leadership, and Entreupanaurship (I butchered that word). So, do I need to be oriented with Math and Science to get in?

Sloan is a 30 minute walk from the far west dorms. If you want to take a lot of classes in sloan, take that into account when you are looking at dorms.

PS: A ridiculously high percentage of freshman here "plan" to double major. A much smaller fraction actually end up doing it. Sometimes classes here have a way of giving you a reality check. It begins sophomore year... ;)

Can't hurt to plan. :)

LSA, I'm planning to double in 6 & 15 also--but I wouldn't get your hopes up. I thought I was hot ****, until I got my ass kicked by the Institvte ... just play it as it goes

I would like to double in 6 and 15 also, but I also want a social life. Also, I've heard the same about very few people actually doing it.

Good way to look at it vecter :)

Do you think it'd be somewhat easier to double major in, say, Physics and theatre? Something "MIT-ish" and something "artsy"? Or is it a double load of work no matter what.

i want to go into electrical engineering (course 6) and my ECs and test scores showed i was much more interested and successful at the humanities, arts, writing, etc...and i got admitted EA, so they just look for overall success not that u have to be a Westinghouse finalist or can calcultae pi to the 1E10000000000000000000000 digits
