Alright, buckle in! I think I may have messed up but I’m not sure? This will bug me all night if I don’t get some answers.
So, I applied to SLU-Madrid through the common app. I am a senior so it’ll be my first year in college. Under the academics tab, it allowed me to choose Education as my intended major for SLU-Madrid. So I was happy! Not many colleges let you directly apply to their international campuses, plus education is rarely a degree offered on international campuses!
Now, I submitted my application about a month ago. I got an email from one of the admissions counselors about starting the review process on Nov 1. I assumed I did everything right. Then I checked the SLU-Madrid site today because I was starting to overthink things, and I saw that Education is offered for a spring semester at the Madrid campus. I was so confused, and still am, because I did not apply to the main SLU campus, I specifically applied to Saint Louis University-Madrid. I would LOVE to attend the main campus as well, but I hit too many colleges before I applied to SLU-main. I’m afraid my application will be null and void because Education is apparently not a PRIMARY degree offered on the campus, but one that is started on the main campus and you can spend a semester on the Madrid campus. But I’m confused because it let me choose Education as a major on my first-year student common app.
Does anyone know anything that would solve my confusion? Of course the admissions counselors aren’t getting back to me within 4 seconds so I’m dying to figure things out!!! Did that perhaps also apply me for the main campus do you think? Or do I need to fill out that application? Because I tried to fill it out not on the common app, and I filled out the initial form that allows me to create my account to start the application but it just sent me an email from SLU-Madrid with my password info. On their website, it says my application hasn’t been submitted and is in progress, but my common app says it’s submitted and has been downloaded, plus my admissions counselor said they are reviewing it!
I know this is a lot and I apologize but I just need to make sure everything is okay with this. I paid for my test scores to be sent to Saint Louis University, so…I don’t know! I’m so confused! Help!
