Smart?

Is anyone else out there like this? Is there any college level people or higher that have been successful with this?
Im a Senior next week.
My whole Junior year i was determined to get good grades in school after starting out high school not caring with a B- average.
During class i listened pretty well but before when i really didnt care about school i wouldnt study for tests and quizes so i usually got C on them.
Since junior year i studied for every test knowing that I usually did bad on them when i didnt study, so i stayed up from 9 to 1am studying hard core, non stop memorizing pages of notes. I usually literally could memorize every page ( from about 1-6 pages of full notes front and back) and i could repeat them only with a few help hear or there and the next day get above a 90% or A- and above on the tests and quizes. Can i make it through college and graduate school doing this? The only way I can get an A is if I remember everything in the lesson before the test.
Smart kids usualy can get A's without memorizing everything

Uh, learn good student habits. Aka, don’t cram. I’ve seen many people do horrible their first semester/year because they did not form good study habits in high school. C’s are the new F’s I feel like. You need to do quite well to get into graduate school, so unless you’re majoring in something easy it’s not going to be easy to get by on “smarts”. The easier your major is, the better your GPA has to be for graduate school. Actually, it already has to be top level to get into most good programs.

I never studied in high school. I got A’s in everything. I barely studied so far in college and have had mixed results. Recently studying somewhat I’ve been getting decent grades. If it’s a strength of yours, the classes could be a cakewalk. If it’s not, you better put your head in the book and study your brains out. Some classes were meant to weed people out of the major. Organic Chem 1 & 2 made me a ghost to my friends.

You don’t have to memorize everything, but you do need to know everything that will be tested somehow. Don’t forget that high schools often teach to the bottom of the class because they need people to graduate.

I want to be a physicians assistant, or a psychologist or therapist. I was think majoring in biology or psychology. Biology is were i have descent test grdades without studying, but i havnt taken psych yet.

My girlfriend is a psychology major. If you’re a good writer and have a good memory, you have this major in the bag. It also helps to be good at math when you take statistics. I learned a lot of her courses alongside her because she has made me quiz her on all the things she’s had to memorize/know.

You’ll need to study, but I wouldn’t say all that much. For sure you’ll need to do a lot of reading, but I don’t really count that as studying. Haha. She has a very good memory.
