Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on my chances of being accepted to psu UP into smeal college of business (supply chain).
Sat 1920 (670cr, 600math, 650 writing)
GPA 4.0 weighted (3.75 unweighted)
EC: DECA business club, NHS, football grades9,10, baseball grades 9,11,12
CS: decent
personal statement:great
all courses ap/honors/dual enrollment(immaculata univ)
PA resident
Held two jobs
Also can someone who applies to smeal and rejected be automatically re considered for DUS?
I’d say you have a very good shot, but applying DUS instead of smeal can help a lot.

@sworrell11 Actually you can. If you’ve already applied, just call admissions and they can change the college you applied for. Many people have done that as they’ve changed their minds between application and decision. It’s better to do it now, than to wait and attempt to change to DUS if you’ve been denied Smeal. Because then you go to the “back of the line” behind people who’d applied DUS by the priority deadline.

@sworrell11 Much. Smeal is one of the most competitive colleges at Penn State - with the exception of the honors college. Since you are able to take all of the entry to major requirements as a DUS student, it really doesn’t hurt you at all to apply DUS if you are the slightest bit concerned about your stats. Keep in mind that 80% of students change their major, so being DUS gives you the opportunity to explore majors while you can simultaneously take ETM classes for the major you think you are headed for.
