<p>To those Smith parents who may have not joined that "other social media entity" (constructed by some Harvard students), you may want to find the Smith Parents page and ask to join since it is a closed, but very helpful group.</p>
<p>To Prospies and their 'rents, you should know there is a move afoot to develop more internships for the coming year for Smith and MoHo students. Just another example of the fine activities of not only Smithies, both their parent/instigators as well......</p>
<p>Yes, for Smith parents new and old (maybe for students as well) CC is kinda dead. Catch the action on that “other social media entry!”</p>
<p>I have to confess that I’m a part of that group as well, but you know, in some ways, it’s a bit unfortunate that the Smith parents are using the “other social media entity” so frequently as there seems to be little energy on the CC forum. It’s too bad because prospies and their parents are losing out on learning about the wonderful details, large and small, about Smith.</p>
<p>Carolyn-- you make a good point. Our family learned a great deal about Smith from this CC site. Now, I enjoy participating in both forums. You were a great help.</p>

<p>Carolyn you must take into account that this is the “slow season” on here. Once the fall comes, new prospies will be appearing with their questions and concerns. I along with my d will be available to answer these and things will liven up for sure. The intent of this forum is to help guide newbies through the process of applying to Smith(and other schools). If you look around the other boards they are also quiet at this time. It will change soon!</p>

<p>Sweeping through myself after dropping D off today for her second year at Smith. She is SOO excited to be back, even though she had a great summer. Pleased to provide whatever we can to prospects about one of the great schools. Bias IS

<p>I’m going to try to check in here more frequently. The “other place” is certainly convenient but this forum serves prospects and prospect parents particularly well. It shouldn’t wither.</p>
