Smith vs schools in Boston

I did say tempted … compared to other schools in Boston it has less prep-like or overtly pre-professional types … a lot more students in jeans/t-shirts/beards … maybe not hipster but certainly less conventional

Wellesley: 12 miles but 40 minutes by shuttle. Great Massachusetts transportation design.

MIT: as the t-shirt about MIT men says: the odds are good but the goods are odd.

Hah the Dad that made me spit out my tea! I would say MIT is diverse and geeky but it is also very intense academically so it doesn’t really have a laid back vibe and definitely unconventional! My D complains because all the hipster BU students clean out the local used clothing stores.

Compared to 1/1.5 hr with stops the PVTA can take to travel the 7 miles from Smith to Amherst College, 12mi/40min is downright speedy. ;)
