It has been bad here in Ohio. I actually had chest pain while I was driving yesterday. I noticed that my car’s air conditioning was set on outside air. When I changed it to recirculate, my chest pain went away. How can these fires go on all summer?!!!
It was bad today. I saw someone running tonight and thought, not a good idea!
I got a screenshot earlier today when the index was 219. Not like NYC a few weeks ago but in the red zone and not good.
Every time I drive the last few days I feel like I want to go through a car wash - it’s like dust infested air
It’s going to last all summer and different areas will get it depending on how the wind blows. They can’t put the fires out so have to wait for winter.
It’s bad here. We played outside with our granddaughter today, but we did limit the time outside (we’re usually out most of the day). I was joking with my H that it feels like I have cataracts … it’s a weird kind of hazy. And it smells bad. My S lives a little more than an hour from us, and it’s worse where he lives. He has a gym in his garage, but he’s gone to Planet Fitness the last couple days because the garage lets in the bad air. Unfortunately, I heard today that the fires are expected to just keep burning until they burn themselves out. I hope that the air doesn’t stay this bad all summer.
We’ve had no smoke at all in southern Maine.
