I’ve recently committed to Miami and smoke weed pretty frequently. I’d like to smoke weed in my freshman dorm room but I’m not sure how strict/vigilant RAs and the school itself are with marijuana use in the dorms. Can anyone confirm that they kept a bong/bud in their room without problems?
No smoking at all allowed, and not of illegal substances even in recreational pot states. Florida is not tolerant and all pot is illegal except medical.
Marijuana is illegal in Ohio and Florida. Due to odor, marijuana is much more difficult to “hide” than alcohol.
I’m a freshman here and I don’t smoke. But looking back, I can say that more than 50% of the kids here do smoke. And some RA’s are chill with it. It’s easy to smoke out the windows of Hecht.
A lot of people unscrewed their windows or used smoke buddies! The RAs also like tell you when they are doing room checks so as long as you aren’t stupid.
