SMU Class of 2018 ED/EA/RD Discussion Thread

Judging from pictures on Twitter, the letters went out on the 13th. In a suburb of Houston and nothing today. Anyone know what you get if they don’t choose you? A small letter of rejection?

Congrats lots and iheart! Nothing in the mail yet… from NJ.

Let’s start posting our stats and anything else you’d like to share such as merit scholarship, etc. Shall we start another thread for stats or is this good enough?

Good luck everyone!!! :)

Mail from Dallas to Houston usually takes 2 days and seeing as people in the Dallas area received their decisions today I am assuming Houston letters will be delivered tomorrow!

DD got her admissions letter today. Suburb of Dallas. Included $20,000/yr Second Century Scholarship. So excited for her. Good luck everyone! She has a 4.02 weighted/33 ACT lots of service and EC’s. She applied EA in September. Also, has two siblings one was a PS at SMU, graduated and getting masters, other a junior.

Does anyone know if they send all the letters out at once or if they will be sending a select few each day for the next two weeks. I live all the way up in Pennsylvania so it probably going to take at least 3 days to get here. Hopefully I get the letter in the next couple of days.

I’m down near the Houston area and I haven’t gotten anything either.

Hopefully I’ll know before Christmas!

I got mine today. I won’t be going cause SMU was a safety school and I got into Boston University, which was my first choice. Congratulations to all that got into SMU!
