I just spoke with my son and he said the Hunt letters were mailed out. He spoke with someone in the DFW metroplex who applied and she received her rejection letter yesterday. Everyone should be hearing soon.
has anyone heard back yet? its 2/20 and driving me crazy!
@doresearch Thank you for the update! The mail has already come today in the Tampa area without any notification from SMU about the Hunt Scholarship…

@doresearch I have not heard anything yet. I guess this “Siberian Express” weather system is delaying USPS.
@FLStudent97 I got my letter Thursday and the email on Friday! Check your email, I live in dallas so that’s the only reason why I got my letter so quickly but I’d assume they sent all of the emails out at the same time. Good luck!
@doresearch I am incredibly excited and definitely nervous for my interview. Any tips? How did your son feel about his interview? Also how has he liked the program so far? Thanks for any and all help I’m just trying to go into things as informed as possible!

I did not receive an email from SMU on Friday so I am going to assume that I am not a finalist. Congratulations @anotherTXgirl! With my initial EA acceptance packet from SMU, I received the Founders’ Scholarship. However, the cost of attendance would still be around $50,000 and my family makes too much money to qualify for much financial aid. Emory University (Oxford College) awarded me with a slightly larger scholarship with a cost of attendance around $54,000 (not including the scholarship), so I might end up attending Emory at Oxford this fall. Congratulations to anyone else who is a finalist!
@FLStudent97 I’m sorry you were not selected as a finalist, but it sounds like you have other excellent choices.
