I was just awarded a Distinguised BBA Scholar scholarship to SMU along with some other scholarships. I only received $2K from Texas A&M but it is still significantly less expensive than SMU. Both schools have good business schools. I am really torn between the two. Does anyone have thoughts about the two choices? Is the Distinguished BBA scholar really an honor or do alot of freshmen get this award?

Thanks

Willieb~From what I have been told, only 100 or so Freshman are admitted into the Cox BBA Scholars program. From there, a VERY small amount of those 100 or so receive the additional BBA Scholarship. My S did and is very excited to be attending SMU in the fall.

And FYI…he is turning down the Marshall School Business at USC to go to SMU.
Good luck to you where every you go!

Distinguished BBA Scholar is a great honor and is very competitive so congratulations!! SMU has an incredible business school that is recognized throughout the U.S. and across the globe. The professors, internships and networking are incredible. I don’t have a single friend in the B school this year who is graduating in May who hasn’t already had numerous job offers. People trip over themselves to hire our business students because they’re smart, ambitious, driven and well-prepared.
