I HATE Asians who try to be preppy (collar popping). It just doesnt WORK.

hmmm.. well okay... collar popping and preppiness ...

I would say that Princeton is the most snoobiest. UPenn has the least snobbiest.

haha penn people. they think theres some sort of rivalry between us or something.

anyway, collar popping works for some people (even asians), though not for me.

ahhh penn.... :) i keep hearing nice things about it.

Untilted, I'm tempted to be offended by that comment...but I think collar popping works for very few people, race aside.

Penn actually has a lot of so-called JAPS.

I just get the feeling that people who say Princeton is snobby say it just because everyone else does. Unfortunately most people don't take the time to form their own opinions.

Penn people say Princeton is snobby because theyre Penn people, lol. i agree wtih zante.

i like Penn people!
but they dont like us. =(

I love Penn people! And you better like me because I'm going to be crashing a lot of your parties this year :p

I love Princeton too.

I'm a Penn person and I love Princeton people! :)

The snobbiest would definitely be Harvard. The student tour was just so bad that Zant and I left early... it was boring too. They were a little cocky and gave this impression of "And over here is the... mehhh. Doesn't matter. This is Harvard. Why do WE have to sell this to you? You should be begging us." I distinctly recall the admissions officer who seemed like he was indirectly insulting anyone who scored lower than a 1500 on their SATs... "How hard is it to get accepted with a 1450? HHhummm.... weellll.... clears throat" Ungh ungh.

I think Brown is the least snobbiest... everyone there seems so happy and laid back!

i disagree. did you visit princeton? i live here and i dont feel it. it's there, but not prevalent. probably unusual for someone from New Mexico, but nothing someone from Maryland wouldn't accept. (i.e. dressing "preppy")

...I'm not sure whether to be offended either...what are you implying about New Mexico? Yes, I have been to Princeton a few times (as well as a lot of other 'good' schools) and actually attend an east-coast university. I have always gotten a slightly 'snottier' feeling while at Princeton than, say, at Harvard or Yale. The prominence and selectivity of some of the eating clubs in everyday life is what gave me that impression, as I stated before, though never having attended the school, it's just an opinion to be taken lightly.

Asking which ivy is the most snooty or preppy is like asking which state uni has the slutiest chicks or which HBCU is the most ghetto. Some things are just indistinguisable.

I usually hold my back my fingertips from the keyboard when reading some of your absolutely stupid, racist and sexist remarks. But I would really like to know is this a Cleveland thing (I doubt it) or is it a product of where you have been educated ( I doubt that too) but cetainly you seems like it was a waste of time and tuition. I guess I have to chalk it up to the fact that even CC is not at a loss of ignorant people.

Duhh..maybe the title of the thread sould be changed to what school produces the most ignorant people ? 28 years on earth and a college education really hasn't done much for ya has it?

entropic, im just saying that its a different lifestyle over there. because it is. (i've taken a roadtrip from arizona all the way up to san francisco, sure doesnt make me know what im talking about but hey)

preppy/not-preppy its not a good/bad difference. its just like having different hair colors...sorta.

P.S. i love making controversial remarks on cc. it makes discussion so much more fun!

I'm tempted to really talk to you about abortion, but I don't think I want to get into that right now...

hey zant start an abortion thread

Sybs: I was just saying to that an outsider like myself, its like comparing apples and apples on which college would have the preppiest students. Much like the threads that ask: Which schools have the hottest chicks, or which college is in the worse neighborhood. My point was just saying that to most people who casually compare stuff, its all the same to us.

Think it'll get me to 10,000 posts faster if I start an incendiary thread? It'd get moved to the cafe though and that would be pointless for post-accumulation purposes.

And fyi, I've been challenged to get to 10k posts before September 10 (when I start college) so that's why...

yeah abortion discussions leave everybody so exasperated and nobody really changes their opinion.

haha zant, okay go for it for the numbers then.

haha yea it will be fun, do it just to for the numbers
