Considering this crazy weather we're having in the northeast, I was just wondering does Penn have snow days, and what do you guys do for fun on days like this?

I wouldn’t count on it unless there is a TON of snow. The last snow day was 2 years ago. We didn’t have any last year and there were times when there was a lot of snow.

As for things to do, snow football! It’s so fun. You can tackle people and it doesn’t hurt :)

This is what I love about Penn. It’s the only Ivy where people would even consider playing tackle football in the snow.

In four years, Penn closed twice; both were days in February, 2010, when we had 24-inch snowstorm after we had gotten 20 inches three days prior. Philadelphia didn’t pick up my trash for a month, and Penn couldn’t physically clear the snow to let people into buildings!

One complaint I actually had with Penn was that they never closed school, but there were multiple times when they held classes without properly clearing the walkways, and it was pretty dangerous to walk around campus.

but yeah don’t count on school closing, though it’s much more common for professors to cancel classes when it snows.
