<p>No idea to really know who chooses to send it, though one would think that the typical Harvard applicant would choose to go above and beyond. Although, many of my friends have talked about the application at least once, and it seems that not many people really bothered. Nonetheless, if you feel like something is severely lacking from the application, it's definitely something to consider.</p>
<p>Does the additional essay have to necessarily be "about me" or relating to me?
Or can it just be a good piece of critical writting that I have written about a current social issue?</p>
