So about the January 2011 SAT essay...

No, I'm not going to mention my specific prompt because I don't want to get a 0 on the SAT or whatever happens if you do that. But I'm wondering, based off hints from other threads, it seems like everyone had the same essay prompts? Something related to a certain word starting with "I"?

Did anyone NOT have that prompt? because i didn't, and it's starting to freak me out, because now i'm thinking I somehow completely misinterpreted the question or something.

Oh, and also. If I filled the 2 pages with a short intro, 2 solid body paragraphs and a short conclusion, am i guaranteed a decent score even if some of my info (OK, one whole example) was factually wrong and I didn't use any higher-level vocab? I did finish, my point was solidly made, but it was...mehh. Can I expect a 9?

Thanks guys!!

^I did not have the word starting with the “I” prompt.

Usually if you fill up 2 pages with a good structure and decent vocab, you are assured at the least a 9.

@ pencilxboxes: ok good, did you have one related to…um… an “L” word? lol

@goodscores: yeah, i mean i’m capable of using high-level vocab, i have a decent vocabulary, except for some reason there was no opportunity to use it this time.

And also, what if one of my examples was completely factually wrong? as in, if my reader happens to know the truth about the example, it actually refutes my thesis…

since when do people not talk about the SAT essay directly :P?? how will u get a 0 on it if u say the prompt??

@alyshehata: You’re not supposed to talk about the essay until you get your scores back. If they find out you leaked the question, you might get a 0.
