so am i basically rejected

Really? You can still have a good chance of getting in with a 3.5 with a 1350 SAT (cause that's what I got.)? I'm so anxious. Haha @_@;;

GPA is below average, SAT is above. If you're in top 10% of your class it could tip you in.

I'm like.. top 6% I think.

my school doesnt rank;; and 1350 is out of 1600
haha good there is still some hope..
but next year i hope the gpa average doesnt rise again...

Not to be negative, but I'm positive it will. Averages for just about every UC rises every year.

Ahhhh, still waiting too. 3.5 uc gpa, 1450/780/690/670. Feeling rather dejected (but hopefully not rejected).

I found out that a lot of people w/ good stats are still waiting.
I'd say u guys have good chance so dont worry too much :)
hopefully we can find out by next week.

mine was 1360 and i got in. i had a 4.28 gpa but i wasnt in the top 6% of my class bc my school is very competitive. i think ucs compare u to your school

I still don't know y i got in UCI honestly lol...
I have a UC 3.83 GPA n 1250 SAT1 (bad SAT2s)
I was considered ELC but didnt get it (so i'm not?)
I got in UCI the march 1st but i heard UCi accepts ppl w/ high grades n GPAs 1st...which i dont think mine's the case.
Did UCi change the system already? maybe they liked my essays?

still waiting for my also from UCI and UCSB! gpa 3.5 SAT 1400...

how do u calculate ur uc gpa? isnt it ur hs gpa?

Is there somewhere online where we can calculate UC GPA?

Your UC GPA is simply the GPA for your a-g courses taken during 10th and 11th grades. If you go to a california school, your school should provide information about which courses are UC approved. Here is a list of many usually approved courses:

<a href="http://pathstat1.ucop.edu/ag/course_descriptions/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://pathstat1.ucop.edu/ag/course_descriptions/index.html</a></p>

yo ucihopeful, have u heard anything yet?

no still PENDING god i hate that word now

yeah mine too :(

uhhhmmmmm.
nevermind.
i just checked.
i got in :)
i hope you get in UCI_Hopefull!
Phew.

hmmm..
3.9 uc gpa
1440
no word.. i'm about to cry!!
not really..
but....

nervous_breakdown, it just went up today?! What were your stats?

Well, we still have a week or so before the mid-march when UCI starts sending out the dreaded rejection letters.

I wonder what really takes them so long though. They've had from December 1, 12:00 AM till March 1 to make admissions decisions.

And man, I'm very angry at UCR. They keep on sending me mail and I think it's from UCI.

Like the UCR financial aid letter says "University of California" on the first line of the return address. And I rushed to open it only to realize that the third line of the return address said "Riverside, CA"

And just today I get a nice packet that says University of California. Temporarily forgetting that people on this forum have said that the UCI admission packet is only two sheets, I rush to open it, only to encounter a UCR Statement of Intent to Register. Whoo... hoo... like I want to go there.

Oh yes, about a week ago, UCR Chancellor's reception card. Whoops, mistook it for a UCI chancellors.

How much longer must this mental anguish last??

Come on UCI, post! post! post!

<?php
$admission = $_POST['admissions'];
if ($admission == "yes"){
echo "Congratulations! You have been admitted!";
}
?>

okay, that was a bad pun :)
