hey
title says it all . 1810 SAT and 3.9 UC GPA

?? Why did you get rejected from uci??

I’m sure you still have a chance- all desicions are made independently. When did you get rejected from UCI?

Wondering this as well. Got the rejection today.

Maybe it was your major; I hear “impacted” majors are more harsher because they have less spots??

I got rejected from UCI, so I’ll be surprised if I get into Davis.

does any one know if nutrition is hard to get into at UCD.
because i also got rejected from UCI for engineering =[
not too sad because they don’t have a great engineering program…
but i’ll be SUPER disappointed if i don’t get into UCD =/

i was rejected from UCI too… if I don’t get into UCD then I will living at home going to community college for the next two years :'(

I applied for undeclared in physical sciences for both UCI and UCD

What if undeclared was harder to get into then normal majors… =/

I should have just applied for Engineering. Most of my friends got in with worse stats.

@the legend Your friends with worse stats than you got into engineering?
i heard that it’s harder to get into UCI engineering than UCD engineering because there are so few spots…

Well we will soon find out. I applied Undeclared to Davis as well… so I cant get in because it was the “easy” major.

3.8 GPA with 1800 SAT. rejected for engineering at irvine ): hopefully Tuesday will bring good news.

what are you saying? uci’s engineering is harder to get into that SLO’s engineering.
its a super impacted major

@thecrimsonquill I guess so… but that doesn’t mean it’s better.
I think since UCI doesn’t specialize in engineering, there are very few spots available…so you have to have pretty high stats to get in. I think that’s generally true for most of the UCs T_T
but i already got into cal poly slo engineering so it’s all good i guess xD

@the legend OH um…i was asking about your friends that got into irvine…but yeah hopefully we both get into Davis!

"what are you saying? uci’s engineering is harder to get into that SLO’s engineering.
its a super impacted major "

This is a joke right? Engineering is NOT impacted at UCI. Their only impacted majors there are Nursing and Business Admin.

My friends got rejected at SLO and got into UCI for Eng. I was wait listed at SLO for Electrical Engineering.

UCI is ranked 35 in country for Undergrad Eng. Not that good of a Eng school…

iamaweomse27, Yes 2 people with worse stats got in. They had 3.8/1850’s and few EC’s.

hmm well i got into cal poly comp. engineering and rejected from irvine for the same major =[
and my friend with exactly the same stats and almost the same ECs got in as a bio major? So i just assumed engineering was harder to get into at irvine than SLO.

^You should go to SLO. SLO is a much better engineering school then Irvine and maybe even Davis.

I was accepted to UC Irvine 2/8, rejected from UCLA, rejected from UCSD but very VERY close (7508/7744). I was curious if I will/would get in! ?

yeah, i might. Like I actually think cal poly is better than all of the UCs for engineering (besides UCB and maybe LA?) but Davis is closer to home for me and in my opinion, more prestigious than cal poly…
but also, I didn’t sign up for engineering at davis…so i’m hoping that since i didn’t pick a hard major, maybe that’ll raise my chances of getting in xD

@Indianjatt How did you calculate that ?
