So, anyone figuring out their schedule for next year yet?

Masterus, are you referring to me? If so, I am and have always been a freshman. Go check my earlier posts (I haven't been on this forum in a while). I can't exactly vouch for your "good memory" either seeing as that you couldn't even correctly remember my username in the time it took to scroll down to the reply box.

Roflcopter^

As much as I appreciate the useful, on-topic posts in this thread, let us not delve into the murky depths of Masterus and your various pwnages of him. Remember the ill-fated Psat thread? It was deleted while I was reading it, as Said Poster had flamed just about everyone.

But pwn on, my dear friends. I live vicariously through you.

AP English
History
AP Calculus
AP Physics
French
Studio Art: Drawing and Painting
Student Assistant (for my favourite - Biology - teacher)

Now... I don't know if I should take AP Psychology or a spare... :/

Senior year:

Independent Studies Calculus (AP Calc BC equivalent)
AP Chemistry
AP Physics B
Biology 12 (molecular)
Independent Studies AP Biology
AP English Lit
AP Economics

Tight schedule. I'm working on the Halliday/Resnick book so that I can take the Physics C exams instead, and in all likelihood I'll be finished the Campbell book for AP Bio during summer.

Hmm...I'm probably going to do this:

AP European History
AP Biology
Pre-calculus (I don't have enough room on my schedule for AP Calculus... :/)
College English
Religion/Phys. Ed.

My school is ridiculous, I don't even have time to take French or Spanish, since they make AP classes double-periods. And they make me take a useless class like religion. Argh!

Band (Hurts my weighted GPA, but I still love it)
AP English Lit (Brit Lit)
AP US Gov
AP Physics C (Our school teaches Mechanics Only)

Concurrent Enrollment at local Community College
Calc III+IV, maybe diffeq's/linear algebra over summer? who knows.

If I decide to take a "0" hour class before the rest of school starts, I'm going to add AP Spanish Language to my schedule.

This year, I'm taking Band, AP English Language, APUSH, AP Chem, AP Calc BC, and Spanish III, so it'll be a relief with less AP Classes. Believe me, AP Chem is difficult, but my friend with a 99 in AP Chem CRIED in AP Physics C! That's not even an inflated 99! Half the class has C's...

LOL @ serendipity's post. ahhaha i love you.

thank you guys so much! all of the AP science / chem related posts were sososo helpful. i love CC! :D

junior year:

AP stats
AP calc bc
AP physics B
spanish 3 H
english H
american history

You asked the administrator to delete your original account. People, who posted in the Grade Detriments Thread, should remember her.

No, seriously, AP Chemistry/AP Physics B/C are easy because of the math part.

Easy for you. To me, bio is easy because it's only rote memorization. I like chem and physics (and math), but all the formulas get to be cumbersome.

Masterus, why don't you take all those tests and scan your score report with straight 5s?

Wait but he cant because he hasn't taken them yet....

Masterus:

Here is a link to the Grade Detriments thread that you referred to. My only post there is #515. Please tell me where I mention being a senior, and I will gladly apologize. But really, I would think that I would know my grade level best. Just saying...

As for the whole Biology/Chemistry debate, I've heard from a couple junior and senior friends that (in my district, at least), Chemistry AP is supposed to be a total blow off class compared to Biology AP ("a swift kick in the ass that makes you regret ever being born"). That of course, may be because of teachers and their teaching methods along with personal preference.

Masterus:

When you say AP Chem and Physics are easy because of the math part, are you assuming that everyone is fantastic at math? Your stats make you sound smart but sometimes the things you say are pretty dumb, no offense. Also, I remember when Serendipity first started posting last summer and she was a freshmen then too, lol. Did you make up someone in your head?

Junior Schedule: Im on Block

Gifted Precalculus
AP US History
AP Language
AP Chemistry
AP Physics B

i might do a internship instead of AP US History...stil not sure

That's like saying mountain climbing is easy because of the walking part. Or that push-ups are easy because they involve bending your arms. Or more to the point, that mountain climbing is easier than, say, swimming because walking is easier than kicking.

Sure there's math involved. But there's also a lot of other stuff involved that make chemistry and physics more than just the sum of their mathematical prerequisites.

Chem uses math, but the math involved is generally simple calculations. Yes there are some more advanced formulas you use alot, but that involves converting units and plugging them in, nothing to crazy.

Chemistry is a lot more conceptual then people give it credit for.

nice analogies fizixs

No, I mean it, I'm in JETs this year and most of the problems are easy. You should know that I never refered to EVERYONE, I only said that they were easy.

Actually, Fizix, push-ups are easy, it just depends on the angle you are, which affects the amount of gravity you have to push against. If you mean the severe incline position, which is the standard, then it's harder.

Your metaphors are way too general, those movements are easy. Difficulty is when you can barely do any of them, which is not true for these type of movements. Everyone can WALK, KICK, etc.

Read collegeboard; http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/sub_physc.html?physicsc

Masterus, why is it that you seek out conflict rather than trying to get along with people?
