So by March 15th...

Have the UCs at least looked over/read all of the applications; or are there still some they have to get to?

To put it differently, in the time frame that they have to contact us, what are they doing?

Are they simply going over the applications they haven't gotten to yet, or are they going back and choosing who is going to be admitted from the people who weren't already denied?

Well, I don't know the answer to this... but I can at least tell you that I got a personal call from someone from UCLA about my app just two weeks ago. She had a question concerning my major prereqs. (Chemistry was required as a prereq, but applicants can be exempt from that requirement if he/she took Chem in high school. She wanted to know if the high school case was my case.). And I just heard my other friend got a call from UC Davis concerned that the classes he put did not exist or something (like he put in Math 1, for example, but there was no such thing)

"(like he put in Math 1, for example, but there was no such thing)"

Lol

Yeah, I got a call very early on from UCSD because there was some incorrect information on my application. Hmm.

From what I have heard, UCLA has finished going through the no-question-admits, and are now working their way through the "maybe" pile.

dude, i hope this is a good sign. i got an email today from UCSC regarding my app. It was about me taking a required math course that im taking this spring. she told me to update that and send me her transcript verifing it by the 14th (the day before the first possible admissions notice).

judging by that, id say that they viewed most of the apps, and are going through the final touches. also possible going through the maybes of the bunch too.

also if you are not contacted right away, that is not bad. i talked to a couple uc reps on campus and they said notices are on a rolling basis. notification depends on what major you apply for... so dont panic too much.

The wait is killing me!

I heard the same as Ektaylor.

3hotsandacot, some campuses will request transcripts or verifications from borderline applications. Not sure if this is the case with Santa Cruz, but a few are known to do it.

well, academichopeful, i'm not real sure that 'the wait' is real great for ANYone!! :)

crap! really? now I wont be able to go to sleep.

This will be the longest week!

I know, I had to vent to those unfortunate enough to be able to relate :P.

What are your stats 3hot?

(That is if you don't mind sharing.)

I'm nervous. I'm nervous!!

I know, I think I'm slowly losing my mind. We haven't even reached the double digits in March and I'm already checking the mail and logging on to my e-mail account at any possible hour...

I need to pick up yoga or something, take the edge off.

March 15th isn't that far away. Waiting for UCLA and Cal is a pain in the ass. What're the majors here?

Hey guys, I just realized that were setting our clocks and hour foward tonight... so march 15 is actually an hour closer then it appears!! woohooo!!!

Oh, and AcademicHopeful to answer your question, the fact that im AIMING for ucsc should tell you something about my stats, lol.

okay... march 15 does not mean that much... most people don't get acceptance letter....(some people do but more people get it late march) chill people! just wait up to 4/30 and you will know what school you are going to!

Chill and wait? How can you say such a thing like that? It should be forbidden here.

If your all pumped up right now... you will have a heart attack when it comes to mid-april!

It'll take more than just being "pumped" to give me a cardiac arrest. I totally own burgers and fries. I'm too legit to quit.
