so called "pattern"

I honestly don't think there is a correlation between those who statuses changed early this morning to being rejected. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong but I feel like there has to be someone who's status changed to acted upon who was accepted.

i really hope you are right!
ive been waiting for my mail it should be here in an hour or so
but then again i live in norcal so i dont know if i would get anything today

I mean I don't wanna be negative..But I think that if your status changed you probably got rejected which sucks cuz mine got changed too..SIGH..but good luck anyway :]

I think everyone's changed because they have acted on everyone's. They mailed all decisions out yesterday including rejections and acceptances.

Don't fret. Also, I'm in San Francisco so I'm NorCal too. It takes two days for the mail to arrive from Los Angeles whether it is priority or first class (regular) mail according to USPS' own website. The earliest we can get anything is on Monday so don't worry.

In other news, all my financial aid documents finally cleared (they were pending before) yesterday. I assume I might be happy on Monday? Who knows!

Status changed, and rejected...

:(

I am gonna appeal though.

My status changed to "Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee." on 3/13. I'm from NorCal; I checked the mail, and still no letter from USC. I think I've checked the mail more within these past two months, than I have the rest of my life. A lot of other people from my school heard from USC quite some time ago.

My S's status did not change yet. No letter today, but we're in Texas.

it seems that ppl who are "acted upon" are rejected, and ppl who are "current reviewing" are accepted (which sucks for me cause im acted upon...) :( Hopefully somebody will post an acceptance that will prove us all wrong!

^^ I agree with bunkey. It does suck! I'M SERIOUSLY PI$$ED... what a waste of energy/time spent worrying about USC...

this just blows

Cheerchick: not to mention money paid for application and mailing hefty screenwriting supplement.

Yeah, that too! I want my money back.. lol

Also, not to mention COUNTLESS hours driving from san diego to USC to do campus visit/interview...

what a waste of my time! I'm kind of bitter right now. haha.

I agree.

A few hours ago I thought there was a definite correlation, with "status changed" on 3/28 or later being the kiss of death. Then I saw some of the stats of the "status changed" kids on the other thread, and changed my mind. There is no way USC is rejecting that many kids with great academic accomplishments. For what it is worth, status theories in the past have been pretty reliably off base, and the status update system itself has been pretty unreliable. For example, D was admitted two weeks ago, and her status still shows "in review". Hang in there, I know it is tough, I myself am anxiously waiting for the afternoon of 3/31, when D's last two decisions come out.

Are those decisions online?

Cuz tomorrow's a Sunday.

No but they'll let you call starting April 11.

Oops I thought it was the 31 already because it's 30 now since it's past midnight. Didn't realize it.
