SO... decisions are up...

"Quote:
i've also noticed that the people who got rejected in this thread didn't break 2100 on the sat1...but supposedly i had thought 2000-ish was a "good" score. maybe la's standards are gettin higher..

Well here's a 2250 and 3.8UCGPA who got rejected...hmm..."

It seems like the decisions are mostly based on GPA (for other colleges as well)...they don't seem to care whether your SAT is 1850 or 2250...if you get 4.0+ UC GPA you're in...

(btw SAT IIs 790, 780, 770, but I don't think they care about that either...ack I'm bitter)

lol bitter as well... i keep telling myself how much ucla sucks (since they dont like me)

(i'm from cali... so in state)

I Got In!!!!!!

3.8 UC GPA
560 Math II 670 US History
Low Sat score

I have LOW SAT scores and got accepted. It's all about the ECs and Personal Statements at UCLA.

"I'm an OOS Asian too." Being Asian doesn't mean a thing since Affirmative Action is banned.

And yes, I do believe people underestimate the Personal Statement.

Im gonna have to agree with vega07. I was ELC and I did break 2000 on the SAT but my score still wasn't amazing. Some people in here had 2250s and didnt get in. I think that ELC and quality person statements played a huge factor this year in admissions. I dont know to what degree the admissions committee takes into consideration the intended major of the applicant, but that might have played a big role in admissions as well...

^ That's pretty much the point, OOS and Asian is not a good combo for UC admissions.
