I am happy but ***ed off at UCLA at the same time for rejecting some very smart and amazing friends of mine while accepting some unexpected people from my school. As I hear admissions results, I am shocked at the people getting rejected and the people getting in. *sigh

it's weird...i'm still waiting on UCI's response lol

I am also very frustrated. Many of my qualified friends were rejected and others I feel are less qualified got accepted. My friend told me admissions is becoming more of a lottery game. I don't really know what the UCs are looking for. I thought I used to know but not any longer. Even though I got accepted, I feel really bummed out for my friends.

from what i've been seeing, GPA and ESSAYs were way more important than SAT scores. I know people that got 1600s on the new SAT with 4.0 GPA getting in this year... but people with 3.8 GPA and 1900 SAT didnt get in... oh well, now time for me to wait for berkeley.

and not to mention, if i decide to go to ucla, i can create a facebook and finally look up flopsy haha.

My assurances to the contrary, green_apple worried like crazy that she wouldn't get in.

Now I get to say it:

I ...TOLD.....YOU........SO.

g_a, whatever happened with the ELC thing? (I remember that was one of your many worries.)

Congratulations, btw: think I should add that.
