So Disappointed... I feel as though I won't get into any colleges! (*Genuine Thread*)

I think you'd be surprised. The CB isn't heartless, contrary to popular belief. Reporting your school wouldn't be as hopeless as you make it sound.

You don't have to look at just the Ivy League Schools, or just the top 25 schools. There are lot's of state schools whose honor's programs are really good, and you would probably be able to get more scholarships from them than the Ivy League (I'm not sure how much more though, since you're an International student.)

to the OP,

wow, your life must be extremely tiring and sometimes seem hopeless. But remember that colleges know how difficult your school is, so your low GPA won't affect your chances at those schools. (in fact, if you rank is so high, your chances would probably go up)

I have a question though. What is your school's average overall IB results every year?

I'd be interested to see how the kids who graduate from your school integrate with others at the schools they go to.

I agree shravas.

The Ivy League is over-exaggerated. More and more top students are attending small, private colleges over big name schools. The tuition is crazy. Why would I want to go to an Ivy school when I can go to an in-state school for free?

Why would I want to go to an Ivy school when I can go to an in-state school for free?

Prestige? Telling people "I went to Harvard" sounds a lot cooler then saying "I went to the University of Tulsa".

This thread is really disappointing.
