Here is the thing.
While i was practising for the SAT,i hardly got a math problem wrong. The CR is hard to me,but always managed to pull a 650.Basically,i was aiming for a 2200.
But on the real test, everything ruined down.I have about 3-4 skipped math questions and at least 6-7 wrong.IDK about the passages, but omitted+wrong>25 for sure. The only thing i am happy with is the essay.I manage to fill the 2 pages using adequate examples and some hard words and it is not impossible to get a 12.But thats all.I will have at least 6-7 writing questions wrong, considering that during practice tests ,i had no more than 3-4 .
SO what do you think ?Should i cancel ?

if u're aiming for a 2200, u're probably unlikely to get it. hm.. i think u even have trouble getting less than 2000 because of so many mistakes.
if u're aiming for 2200, then cancel.

Why is it unlikely to get it ?I have done so many SATs and always got around 2150-2200 ,the only time i didnt do well was when took the real test........Just unlucky..
Nope,it is pointless to cancel.I still expect a 760 + on writing and 11-12 on the essay.Maybe next time when i get 760 on math i won`t have such WR score and my superscore will be greater

given the harsh curve for math, "about 3-4 skipped math questions and at least 6-7 wrong" will probably give you 600 math scores, which is not so good. also, the writing part is the least important part when it comes to college admissions, for most colleges at least. I would rather my results look nice with one sitting than to have disastrous scores printed on my slip. so, if i were you, i would cancel my scores right now. (as wednesday is the last day to cancel)

OK,but if i sent the letter now,it will arrive in the USA in 3-4 days ?

my mum will cancel the score tomorrow :):) It is really better.
Even if i score 2300 on the second try, colleges may think it was a pure fluke, considering my first 1900ish score

if ur a junior dont trip, u have score choice. that is if ur applying to those who accept score choice

there's no way u're getting 760+ with 6 or 7 mc wrong, even if u get a 12. i think u'd be lucky if u get 700W.
i think the cancel is fine as long as its postmarked by weds

WHen i did my last test from the online course,i did the test on paper, but somehow enetered the answers incorrectly, missed to enter one,and 10 wrong+1 omitted (12 essay) was 710.

i woudln't cancel, it was your first shot

Unfortunatly, I ended up taking the SAT twice and am going to take it again for the last time in May. If I want to apply to Yale and only sent them the May score(since hopefully it will be much better than the others) will they know about the other tests. I am a junior and how exactly does the score choice thing work.

What other Ivie's ask for all of the scores???

CR7_ManUtd, you gotta check out some QAS curves for the sections.

Ren is right. I don't know where you were taking online tests, but there is no way those curves are right. And those tests must have been really bad because although there is the probability of getting +- 3 questions on the real test than you would normally get, missing 5-10 more on each section is a near impossibility and you cannot say that it was because you got "unlucky." As someone else has said, there is no way you are going to get anywhere near a 2200 this time. You should try to prepare again using a different company or a different set of tests. Obviously the ones that you are currently using are not adequate.

yeah, it doesn't sound like you even pulled a 2000.

if it's your first SAT though, then why cancel it? just use the 'low' score as motivation.

also

10 wrong on writing, even with a 12 essay, will NEVER give you something in the 700s.

i had 4 or 5 wrong with a 12 essay and got a 740.

yeah.. should definitely cancel it if you were aiming at 2200...
