so how hard are the mcats?

i dont know anything about the mcats except that the national average is 27

also in regards to "top school vs. med program"...i went to nyu and they said that students with a 3.5 gpa and 30 or above mcats have nearly a 100% entrance rate into med school (30 or above and lesser gpa...95%, 27-29 and 3.5 gpa...55%, 27 or below..8%)

30 does seem feasible..i know i'm a good worker (3.5 shouldnt be an issue) and good test taker but i wasnt sure if its worth risking guaranteed med school (lehigh/drexel program...not a big fan of lehigh)

please provide some insight on these dreaded mcats and personal suggestions for me would be awesome (i love nyu but i'm not sure if its enough to give up a seat at med school)

thanks :)

The average for each testing ranges between 24.5 and 25. Look at this page for information on score distributions. The national average for med school applicants is 26.8, which is what I think you were trying to say. The average MCAT score for med school matriculants is 29.6.
