So I canceled my SAT score (question)

How long does it take for My Organizer at collegeboard.com to acknowledge this change? thx

wont colleges know that you've canceled it? on collegeboard it only says they wont be able to see ur score, but arent they still able to find out that youve canceled it?

Are you freaking serious? OMG, then what's the point of cancelling? DAMMIT.

oh no. thats what i THINK. no please dont worry, ive heard they dont just 3 minutes ago from my private msgs. because im in the sme situation

dont worry they dont see it, i canceled my april one. chill out guys lol, btw you'll get a written confirmation of your cancellation.

Alright, thanks you guys :)

Even if they saw you cancelled.... why would it matter at all? Wouldn't they just give you the benifit of the doubt and assume it was because something genuinly occured during testing that forced you to cancel?

But you gotta realize that the apps are read by robots.

I am trying to understand why you would like to cancel your SAT.

Say you don't cancel and retake it, then scores from both tests will be sent to colleges. But then it doesn't really matter because the colleges will only use the higher scores.

So my question is, why cancel? Knowing your scores might actually help you to see which areas you need to improve. If you do cancel, however, then you will never know your scores.

But I could know my scores by simply taking a practice test from the blue book, since I haven't really touched that. There's no need for colleges to see my bad scores.

he has a good point, unless you're a junior whos going to be a senior next year, because then you only have one chance to retake it, and that month could have a bad curve.

I agree with goldtx....I really don't understand why people are so eager to cancel their scores when they get like, 4 wrong -__-;

Well another reason is that I want to apply to Princeton, but they have a weird SAT/ACT policy. If I take the SAT, then I MUST submit that. However, if I only take the ACT, then I can submit that.

I'd rather submit say, a 32 from the ACT than an 1800 from the SAT.

Ummh, this hasn't got anything to do with the topic, but I accidentally pushed the "Report Offensive Post"-button when I wanted to go back to the forum index (in my browser the quick command is right + left mouse button).

Anyway, I don't know whose post I reported since I stopped the web page from loading as fast as I could.

I don't know what this means exactly, but if someone receives a message or something from an administrator, you know who to blame.

I'm really sorry. :(

Don't worry. When you report someone, you first have to offer an explanation of what is wrong, THEN you submit the request.
