So I HAVE to take a Science Subject test...What should I take?

I just learned that I have to take a Science subject test for a couple of colleges that I applied to...So that means I have a month to prepare for this test.

I plan on majoring in Computer Engineering, that's what I put on my applications...Which test would be the best bet in taking? I haven't really learned much in my high school courses, since most of my teachers weren't that good...

I took 2 Subject SATs before, Math IC (720) and Math IIC (710). I know they're not that high, but I really need to take a science. What do you guys think? Thanks for your help! =)

I've heard Biology is a good fit if you've taken AP Bio or even Bio II with self-study. Physics is a beast as you cannot use a calculator [all mental math!] and the material I personally found to be more difficult.
x

naw, if youre moderately good in physics go with it. it has mental math, but most of it is ridiculously fundamental. and besides you wanna go into an engineering field, so youre better off taking physics or chem. if you like chem more then go with that but its a lot more annoying and less logical.

if u're doing any type of engineering u're gonna need physics

To sum up what everyone else here said, take Physics if your subject test MUST reflect your major, or otherwise take the easiest option, which I can assert is definitely Biology. One month is entirely doable for Bio, while since I haven't taken physics, I cannot say the same for it.

^^^^ What I meant to say! Physics was not applicable to my major, so I wrote it off as difficult and sort of didn't investigate further, haha! Bio sounds like the best option, though...easy-ish...Biology is a lot of memorization anyhow. :] x

Physics seems good as it matches what you plan to study, but Biology's easier.

I guess I'll have to take Physics.
Is it possible to do well on this test with only 1 month preparation? I just bought the Princeton Review book. It's pretty long. =/

as cliched as it is, nothing is impossible. If you work really hard, you can do it.
But I wouldn't recommend it.

Why? Is it really that hard or improbable to do?

I don't mean to question you, I'm sorry if that's how this post sounds; I'm just curious to hear your thoughts.

biology. i studied 1 mth for it - while workng fulltime in a lab - and i got 790

I would do Physics and Chemistry

^ chem isn't easy if you don't have a good grasp of it... plus the curve isnt very generous either

I wouldn't recommend Physics. It might be just me, but concepts were too hard to understand. The other sciences were easier, for me anyway
