So, I haven't started my application...

I've done all of the common app, just none of the supplement. I think I've been putting it off because, in my mind, I have no chance at getting in. Think I should even bother writing it this late in the game?

I completely know how you feel. But I think I'm going to end up recycling an essay because it fits well with the quote/values prompt. Plus it's only supposed to be 300 words. If you've already paid the fee, I say go for it.

I haven't really started either, but they do only ask for a 300 word essay, so why not just go for it? If you have the common app done already, the supplement isn't going to take you an excessive amount of time to finish.

Thanks, guys. Those responses mean more to me than you'd think--I really needed a little motivation to get them done. I'll start the app...tomorrow =)

hey, I haven't started either. Procrastinators unite! In fact I've dedicated Saturday as my Princeton day, so not starting yet even =P

Get it done as early as possible, because come the midnight of Dec 31th, the Common App site will probably crash... and it also takes some time to proofread essays really thoroughly.

Posted this elsewhere but if you get the common app in on time will they (any school) kick your application if the transcripts come in postmarked Jan 2?

jocan, I doubt they'll throw out your app if the transcript is postmarked late. They'll have so much incoming mail that they probably won't even notice it's late.

For all you people who haven't started yet, don't worry. The supplement really isn't that bad.

Just don't feel consoled to the point that you put it off 'till Monday ;)

you're my hero =)) i'm not applying to princeton but I have to do the whole supplement for Tufts, 2 short answers for Stanford and 1 long essay for Penn so I definitely feel you guys :)

i totally am procrastinating too...trying to cut down my suppl essay and stuff....but i was talking to my financial advisor the other day and he went to Harvard...he put his app in a mailbox right outside Harvard at midnight the night before (this was before online stuff) and was totally fine...so I feel a lot better now...
