<p>I was kind of getting frustrated at the Critical Reading section; I had read Erica Meltzer's the Critical Reader and implemented strategies like finding the main idea of the passage, playing the devil's advocate when answering questions, and bracketing line references before reading the passage. Some practice tests I scored a 700 at most, while I constantly scored in the 670-690 range. Being a big fan of Mike from PWN the SAT, I read one of his blog posts about how if he were a teacher, he would try to make his students create their own SAT tests to put themselves in the test maker's shoes. I thought this was a genius idea. Instead of studying from a students point of view (clearly it hasn't been working for me), why not try to be a test maker for a day and create questions and traps that always get you on tests. I thought this would be a great way to study; I would be able to really look deeply into SAT questions and understand how the test is made. </p>

<p>And just a warning, some of the passages are sort of inappropriate for SAT questions. I had to delete a lot of esoteric references and inappropriate stuff (one passage referenced to porn lmfao). And some of the passages aren't what usually appear on the SAT (science, philosophy, short story, etc...). So sorry about that. Anyways I just focused more on the questions to see how the SAT derives their critical reading questions, and how the answers can always be supporte din the passage. After making this test (it's only one section lol) I took one section of a PSAT practice tests. I got only 1 question wrong, as opposed to the 3-4 questions wrong I get per section. So this "study technique" of making your own SAT tests actually helped me :) I encourage you guys to make your own tests (it doesn't have to be for Critical Reading) to study. It was a good experience and really helped me see how the test makers make traps and derive each question.</p>
<p>Btw tell me how I did. Are the questions accurate? Too easy? Too hard? </p>
