So I want to go OOS

3.98 GPA

2040 SAT with 780 on the math section

lots of AP credits
-Some clubs/activities on the side

currently a freshman in college, so id be transfering

Currently I live in the upper midwest. I have a very large EFC. Is there any way I could go down south for school without it being too expensive?

Are there any good schools down south that give a lot of aid based on merit?

I saw this thread: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/848226-important-links-automatic-guaranteed-merit-scholarships.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/848226-important-links-automatic-guaranteed-merit-scholarships.html</a> but it seems like its all freshman scholarships : /

Are your Critical Reading + Math 1400 or more? If so, you have a full-tuition scholarship at Alabama. If you’re under 1400, you have a 2/3 scholarship:

[Out-of-State Scholarships - Undergraduate Scholarships - The University of Alabama](http://scholarships.ua.edu/types/out_of_state.html)

Also check out Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and LSU.

Also, on the private side, Tulane is renowned for merit. You might hope to get $20-25,000 a year toward a total cost just over $50,000 a year. A limited number of full rides are available.

U. of Miami and Rhodes are also worth checking out.

I do, but it says, “An out-of-state first-time freshman student.” Because im currently a freshman at another university I probably wouldnt be able to get it right? I probably should have posted this in the transfer section…
