So is Villanova's financial aid really that bad?

When I talked to the west regional admissions director, she told me that Villanova set aside more money than ever last year for financial aid and reached 90% or near that of need for students who applied for financial aid. But everywhere I read, I see that Villanova gives the worst financial aid in the world. The admission director made it sound so good though.

I'm so confused. My EFC last year was 7000 (my older brother was applying to college last year, got nearly all of need met at Ithaca College), so I'm confused whether Villanova would try to meet need. Also, Villanova rarely gives merit scholarships, only to the top students, and those merit scholarships are only like 5K.

Does anyone have any other comments or things they know or experienced about Villanova's financial aid?

No, but i’m applying there and would really need financial aid! I heard it wasn’t good either. ugh.
So yea i agree with op. Sorry i’m no help but i want to know too!
