as I was about to call it quits with my girlfriend of 6 months, she springs the 'I think I love you' thing on me. I was like....we're 17....

dammit.

dammit.

What happened after that?

lol did you say, 'we're 17' ? or did you say, 'umm ok thanks' haha i'd be pretty bummed if you said any of the 2

NO. I on the other hand respect Brian's style. He's a pimp. He will get the most girls.

LOL I wish I had the guts to say that when people spring that on me. My current boyfriend said "I love you" after two weeks.

poke though she probably will write you off as a jerk to her friends...you know that right?

aww, sorry brian. that is tough. I'm curious, what happened after this? Were you like "we're 17 and, well, I came in wanting to break up with you..."

My boyfriend said 'I love you' maybe a month after we started dating? Me being pessimistic automatically was like 'No, you don't, and don't expect me to just say it back, even though it's too early and we're too young to know what love is.' That kind of bummed him a bit, I think, but the weirdo was right - although the actual impact of the words/meaning didn't come until almost a year of dating.

I told her to get her kneepads and start convincing me.

Just kidding.

I hugged her closer and kissed her forehead...didn't say anything. If I had said anything, I would have either been lying, or just stumbling around, and that **** ain't my style. :)

good way to handle it (sincere, not sarcastic)

hahaha. I found that extremely funny.

thanks...that was one of the few times that a girl has taken me by surprise :)

D-town...Dublin? I have a few friends from there...

I thought D-town was Dayton lol. Man am I stupid! :)

I think it is. Which I should have caught, considering I live there. slits wrists

You silly datyonians! :D

w00t C-town! :D

*cough am i the only loser who would only actually go out with someone AFTER they tell me they love me?!?!?! /cough *

lol :D
or maybe i'm just behind the times...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

haha yeah the knee-pads line is amazing... that wouldve been hilarious.

wow...i thought that this had been updated with new info o well

Wts my ex said she loved me the day we started going out and I was like um... me too!

She was my first. :

haha, sorry, D-town is Dayton. and if you live in Dayton, most know what part of Dayton "the Dome" refers to.

well you obviosuely handled it well, however maybe you should just expain to her that you aren't quite at that stage in your life where you can say it back. otherwise she may keep springing it on you, expecting you to eventually say it back.
