So my supplement is broken on the Common App...

What do I do? I can't access it. I was finishing it up, and saved it, and it made me log in again and now I get an error when I try to access it. I submitted a ticket to the common app staff, but I only have until midnight. I got the material itself done quickly, but apparently waited too long to submit it. Now I am in trouble.

I can still mail out a supplement by tomorrow, but it would be confusing as I submitted the actual application online. Also, I don't know how or where to download the Cornell supplement, I can't find it on their website. How long do I have for a January 2nd deadline online? Midnight eastern time, or 11:59 on January 2nd?

How long does it normally take the college board to respond to a ticket? What should I do?

Will the admissions office be open tomorrow, or on holiday? Should I email them now?

Please help... I hate this entire process.

i dont really know.. there was a similar thread on the upenn forum.. i dont think that we would be penalized for a commonapp technical error though?

You WILL be penalized for a common application error. All students are strongly encouraged so submit their applications ASAP. Schools are not responsible for technical errors.

I found the form on the site. I can't use the commonapp version, but I can mail it on time in the mail tomorrow, January 2nd.

Is there any potential problems submitting the common application online and the supplement in the mail? Plus, as asked previously, does anybody know when the deadline locks up any submission? Is it right at midnight in three hours, or does the deadline INCLUDE all of January 2nd, making it open until midnight on January 3rd?

You get the whole day of January 2nd to work on it, and all times on the common app are EST, so the deadline is 11:59 EST January 2nd. I'd really suggest restarting your comp and trying it online again before submitting it through the mail.

Problem was solved. They were very quick, friendly, and responsive with the problem on commonapp support ticket help. Nice to see that even on the first they have the proper amount of people working to take care of issues in the clutch :P

A big high five and shout out to the common app.
