So now what..? (FAFSA, TAP, admission, etc)

Hi, so the first school I heard from accepted me. The only thing I got in the mail was the acceptance letter. I was just wondering if I should be expecting scholarship, financial aid, and all other information from this school in the next couple of weeks?

I am a NY state resident so I should probably complete the TAP this week and I am pretty much done with my FAFSA except it is not yet exact, obviously an estimation but I think it is a very good estimation.

I feel like I have been doing college stuff for the last 3 months and now all I am doing is waiting...and it doesn't feel right..(typical or not?)
I mean should I be looking for outside scholarships, filling out scholarship applications, etc?
Should I be calling the colleges I applied to, asking questions, getting my name out there?
Should I be sending "interest" letters or other documents to help my chances?
Is this what a responsible person would do?

I would absolutely file my FAFSA right away, this will be the only way your school will send you an financial aid award letter. Also get the TAP application in as well. Even if you use last years information or your last paystubs for the year, it allows the school to come up with a preliminary award based on your numbers. I would not wait. Yes, start looking for outside scholarships now because their is prep work involved, essays, interviews and you must meet deadlines.

Oh ok..what about scholarship information(whether i get a scholarship or not, and amount, etc.) from the schools I applied to...will they come at the same time as the financial aid information?

The FA package usually has the award of school scholarships, grants, fed loans, pell, tap etc.
