<p>8th grade would work. I'd suggest not mentioning the timeframe aspect of the event.</p>
<p>Just don't overfocus on the timeframe. In two of my essays I included bits of progression over the years. IMO, the broader the description, the better.</p>
<p>For example - "middle school years" or "adolescence" versus "8th grade"</p>
<p>Yeah I think I started that essay at when I was in elementary school and progressed forward to the future. I didn't specify the timeframe so they don't know that I started then but they get the progression. So 8th grade is fine.</p>
