So what happens after semi-finalists status?

To those who entered Siemens Westinghouse in the past, what happens after semi-finalist? I know from the website that we go to the local university(georgia tech for me, if i make it!) and have to show a poster, powerpoint slide, and question answer with judges.

But what I want to know is the nitty gritty. It doesn't seem like a lot of time to prepare that stuff. Are you guys preparing that now? How was the question-answer with the judges?

Any advice would be great. I don't know if I'll make semi-finalist, but I do know that I have 4 day weekend right now, so I should look into it.

Thanks!

I'll start on my talk once I'm a confirmed semifinalist (I'll be waiting for a phone call all tomorrow!! ), after all I'll need to use that elsewhere. If I do end up a Southwest Regional Finalist then I have a week to make a poster, and it will basically be a copy of my project .... only made all nice and pretty with Adobe Framemaker.

Do you go to the site to present if you are regional finalist or semifinalist? I was under the impression that you only went in the former case.

yeah you don't do anything for just being a semifinalist.

I really just want to put "Siemens Scholar" on my Stanford application .... then they probably won't notice those B's in Spanish.

"Tengo un gato en mis pantalones. ¡Estoy en el dolor!"

Also I want one of those great Siemens-Foundation backpacks. That's style!

Erosannin: They don't call you for semi-finalist status I am pretty sure. That is only for finalist status.

Yeah, I don't think they cal semifinalists either.

Did last year's semis actually get iPods? That's insane.

And erosannin,"once I'm a confirmed semifinalist." Are you joking around or do you already know you are one?

***? last years semi's go iPods?

So we will get a backback saying "Siemen?" Lol, yeah that's style.
