UChicago, Columbia, MIT, Princeton, Yale, and Harvard all made me feel special and loved (even though I'll have to wait until December or April to find out if I really AM special and loved by them). :)

And I love the fact that UChicago's application is "uncommon." I LOVE their essay topics. I mean, writing one more essay won't kill you, especially if it's interesting. And an essay responding to any one of those prompts is bound to be fun to write.

It's just for kicks. Because I'm pretty sure if I got a 640 on the SAT the only institution that would be sending me letters would be a preschool.

And real people do get into these colleges. They are just extremely selective.

don't really have the dream college.
I just keep ones I'm applying to or visited during the summer. the rest I gave it away to anyone who were interested in those schools.

I get mail from various of schools. I basically keep the letters from schools I'm applying to and throw the rest away...even if they are ivies. XD

yeah me too. I threw away cornell, princeton and brown. The only one I care about and haven't got a letter from yet is COLUMBIA. :( ...still waiting

I get a lot of mail from a lot of schools, some are good, some are crappy. I never really put a lot of thought into it. I thought the primary reason schools sent out these letters was to bolster their rejection rate; it will encourage students to apply that wouldn't otherwise. I sort of doubt Columbia is really that excited that I got an average above-average score.
