Is caring more about social life than grades a problem? In my opinion that is an emphatic NO!

I believe one of the best aspects of Davis is the fact that students have a great balance between academics and social life. At some schools it seems students are WAY to focused on grades and miss out on the college experience <cough irvine="" cough=""> Grades arent as life and death anymore in college. Remember to take the time to study, but also take the time to enjoy the 4 (or maybe more ;~) awesome years at UC Davis. </cough>

I encourage all students to go out and enjoy the awesome COLLEGE life that is Davis! With over 500 recognized student organizations, a vibrant Greek system, and a burgeoning D1 Athletic Program (just to name a few examples) enjoy it. Im currently a second year Poli Sci major and I maintain a 3.6 GPA while going to almost all football and basketball games being a member of the Davis College Dems having a girlfriend going to parties on weekends and doing as many IM sports as possible. Sure, I maybe could have worked harder to get that 4.0, but the memories from seeing events such as Stanford lose to Davis in basketball and rushing the court with 3,000 Aggies in triumph are way more valuable than any grade.

Also to get back on topic, in my two years here, Ive found girls to be pretty attractive especially if you know where to look. Go to the ARC on any school night and youll see how good looking the girls are here
