So when does the admissions office open up again?

Merry Christmas to all MIT forum-ers :D
I was just wondering if anyone had any idea when the admissions office opens up again. I really need to ask a couple things that are specific to my case and they're out for the holidays now I guess (tried calling, got an automated answer)... 25th, 26th? Either is fine, as long as it's before Jan. 1... some other colleges can't be contacted until the 3rd... which is insanely inconvenient..

Thanks and happy holidays to all :)

It’s possible that there will be people around next week, but most places of business in the US are out for the holidays from today through January 3.

there might be someone in the office on the 27th but other than that it’s the 3rd.

Well in that case might as well ask here… 3 quick questions:

My teacher sort of didn’t sign on the recommendation sheet (the download-able PDF from myMIT) because he missed it, I guess, but he sent in a separate recommendation essay attached to that form, and signed the essay. Will this affect the application in any way?

And by the way, do you mind scans of the original? For example, if an original signed essay was photocopied then sent in without any further signatures, will it be accepted? It’s certified by the school, though, [with a stamp thing] if that makes a difference. (This is just my school policy on documents to be sent to colleges, it’s not something of my own fault)

If I fax in and mail my supplemental info documents/secondary school report, just to be on the safe side, will that matter? Should I just fax? My school also has a proprietary envelope to send the documents in and stuff… and it’s certified on the outside as well (that the looked everything over and it’s fine and stuff). Or is that not needed.
Thanks :)

just fax everything please.
