...so where was i born again?

Sorry, I know I asked this before, but if my State is "District of Columbia," should I put "Washington" or "Washington DC" as my City? I'm actually in the process of applying for a school in DC right now...so I REALLY don't want to screw up.
Thanks!

The city’s official name actually is District of Columbia, but I doubt calling it one of the other names would screw it up.

so the City is “District of Columbia” and the State is “District of Columbia”? isn’t that a bit redundant?

I might even be wrong about that, I always thought that was the city’s official name but after looking it up I’m not sure =/

But I really think it won’t matter since the whole thing is basically a city-county-state so it’ll be quite obvious.

The city is Washington. The state, although it isn’t one, is District of Columbia.

“Trenton, NJ”
“Washington, DC”

I’d say the city is “Washington,” and the state is “District of Columbia.”
