wow, i feel like a dork here since i really wanted straight A's this year (mostly in fear of screwing up my upward trend and then getting rejected from colleges...yes, i'm really paranoid) but i'm pretty sure i'm gonna get a B in AP calc....does anybody know how significant our mid-year reports are?

bluedevil's recarnation O.o

I'm waiting till the valedictorian list comes out. If I'm not on it, then I'll definitely let my senioritis take over.

It's second semester senior year. I'm sixth in my class. As long as I stay in the top ten, I'm set. Like a friend of mine once told me, trying to move up in class rank at this point is like trying to shove a fat kid up the stairs: it's useless.

i'm gonna agree with the person who says their school is practically encouraging the seniors to be lazy.
look at february:
finals in early feb = three half days
2 student free days
2 days where we leave school 2 hours earlier than normal
2 days where we arrive at school 2 hours later than normal
2 holidays

haha.

oh well, i have to go back to studying for an econ test i have to get a B on or else I slip to a C, and i need to finish up Calc, Chem, and Lit hw. Ah joy.

Quarter One Grades: 4.0

Quarter Two Grades: 3.4

After Finals Semester One: 3.6

Well turns out it still avg'ed out to my cumulative GPA, but still...at least I know I can get a 4.0 if I worked for it

ED is so bittersweet. on one hand, you know where you're going to college, how much money you're getting - that's done. and, i'm not going to lie, that's incredibly nice.

on the other hand, you begin to rationalize your slacking with "well, i'm going to college. it's official. so, um, i'll do that math homework later...tomorrow...in english."

haha, the worst thing is that whenever i'm in a class full of other seniors and the teacher starts teaching, we're all like "...WHAT. we're actually learning stuff? man, i was up until 2am last night? wh-what was i doing? ...watching season two of 'house, m.d.'." we actually get outraged about learning...

I've had senioritis since the beginning of my junior year since I was friends with mostly seniors last year. The only classes I've actually worked hard in the past two years are AP Literature and AP Calculus and I have what looks like an EXTREMELY hard schedule, but somehow I get all A's so I haven't worried too much

Let's go over what I've done at school for the past two days:
Monday- slept two hours during school, talked to friends, worked on class t-shirt during aid period while surfing the net and checking email, listened to iPod
Tuesday- slept only one hour during school, spent awhile eating Chic-Fil-A during 1st block, tried to read review book for Psych but only ended up reading a page, went over economics quiz before falling asleep for remainder of school day

So the only work I've been doing lately is calculus DURING school only, and swimming. I'm co-captain of FCA and that club has basically fallen apart due to partly my fault (attendence was already declining and the club was already falling apart when I received it) and we had one NHS meeting so far this semester (which I am president of). I've been mostly playing video games (the Nintendo Wii is amazing!) or watching TV or hanging out with friends. School is so overrated.

2 finals tomrr, watching youtube movies O.o

Sigh. Half day of school today (since it's finals week). AP Calc final tomorrow, told myself I'd start studying once I got home (10:30 AM). Now it's 10:00 PM and I haven't even opened my book/folder/notebook.

It seems like this is what happens everyday now. It doesn't exactly helped that I've aced 4/4 finals I've taken so far. And for all four I've studied less than 30 minutes or none at all.

On the other hand, I bombed all the tests at the end of the semester cause I'm simply just too lazy to learn new material.

Finals are better in a way then normal tests. You can do good without studying if you actually learn the material, but for tests you actually need to learn the material before you can ace the test...

I haven't done homework at home for over a month..no joke. In fact the only hw i've done at home this entire year were english papers (the night before they were do of course). But then again, I was a slacker way before senior year; i haven't read a single book for english since Jurrassic Park in ninth grade. But, now i've advanced to a point where I'm too lazy to even read the sparknotes for my readings .

if you have a GPA higher than a 3.2 out of 4 then you don't have Senioritis.

^ haha untruee! you COULD have completely useless classes like me, such as ap ENVIRONMENTAL science and be getting a 4.65, the highest my gpa has ever been thusfar (unfortunately), and i've been doing the least amount of work in high school i ever have. lol :)

it's finals week for me too! i just bombed my calc today... i should be studying, but meh... surfing CC is so much more entertaining

yea lol...i'm surfing cc also...i bombed both of my finals last night and now my final grades for both classes are dropping to bs probably lol...and tomrr yesss i will bomb my history final which is worth like 20% of our grade and drop my 99.6% to a b =D that is the definition of true major seniori.

i'd say if you have anything above 3.0 then you don't have senioritis.

I think senioritis is about more than just grades...it's a mindset.

You don't try hard. ( You can still pull off a 3.8 without trying, depending on your classes)
You don't care about trivial high school drama. (Like oh-em-gee she just called me a b****)
And you have ONE thing on your mind (G R A D U A T I O N!!!)

CLASS OF 2007!!!!!!!!!

p.s. I have an extreme case of senioritis.

I'm actually doing pretty well despite my procrastination and hate for Calculus. I still getting 4.0+:).

When 4th quarter rolls around, don't expect me in class. Seriously.

I definitely do. I can't wait to be done. Its just so babyish, and the drama I hear everyone talking about every single day is so annoying. I'm also extremely sick of one of my "friends." We have a lot of study halls together, and she doesn't get the hint to go away. Can't wait until I'm in college and extremely far away from her. I want to start new and fresh. (: Not to mention that unless our school does a complete turn around the state will be taking over... and uniforms aren't too far away.

All my classes are easy so its not a big problem to keep a decent GPA ...except for AP English... didn't get my grade yet, but it won't be good. At this point... I couldn't care less. Got accepted to all of my colleges, don't care about ranks or grades or gpa or anything else. Just keeping them decent enough so my scholarships don't get taken away. ;D

oh - I had off all week (minus Monday) its regents week, and I had none. Woo

yeah...definitely has a bad case hereXD it's 12 am and haven't started fixing my English paper, although i know perfectly it's the worst one i've ever written. all of my classes besides English are going well tho. i love taking multiple math classes. math = easy and fast hw.

I have like 4 million papers due in the next two weeks...omg.

Yet I don't feel like doing any of them.
