Ya ya I know I posted this in the Stanford forum, but I'd like some opinions here as well.

Its second semester senior year, all of the pressure seems to be off... I've been taking it a little easier and have let two grades slide into the B range, keeping everything else at relatively the same level. I've been very curious though to see how other people are approaching their grades. Obviously senioritis exists, but I'd like to see to what extent among you, my peers. So, how much have you let your grades slide?

I have three IB HL history mock exams tomorrow, I've had 6 consecutive no-school days to study two years worth of material; I haven't read a thing.

I expect my marks (they're in percentage) to slip about 5-6%.

I havent done any non-graded hw since 2nd semester started ;} I'm still studying for tests though and being sure to do anything that is graded. all in all, im figuring for maybe a 5 point slip in my grades, but beyond that i will be sure to pick it up again

I had to do a bunch of calculus yesterday because I hadn't done it. Senioritis has definitely slipped in, but I need to stave it off for two more weeks. Get this our ranks are locked so the entire last nine weeks of school count for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, so all we have to do is pass.

First semester I got all As because well it would be on the mid year report and I wanted that to be glowing.

My midyear report sucked and I care not <3. But alsoooo, I promised myself that I wouldn't kill myself with school the way I have. I like my life much better now because I'm doing things that are actually important to me.

Dbate- i got all A's too for first semester. same reasons-- mid year reports :)

now.. i just want it to be over. im taking all aps so after ap tests. ill have a month of nothing! oh, and im slacking. i do hw in other classes. and i just bombed a euro test :/

its okay though. senior year is awesome minus the whole waiting for decisions thing.

In my experience, having sophomoritis is just another version of "lazy." I know, I suffered from it, and junioritis, and a bit of freshmanitis too. When I was a senior? OMG. So bad.

Senior year has made me a lot more outgoing too. Interesting, I guess it's because we're thinking, "hey, im never gonna see most of these people again anyway." Also it makes the day more fun. Now I make spooky faces at random people in the hallway. It helps break up the monotony, and I've actually made some friends from it.

A fun thing to try if you find that school has gotten too mundane to handle: walk up to a member of the opposite sex, put on your most sincere face, press your index finger up to his/her lips, and say, "shhhhhhhh." Get a little close too. Then keep walking.

As for senioritis, the only difference is that I start my homework at 11:30 instead of 10. It's pretty bad.

1st quarter, senioritis wasn't so much an issue for me. I ended up getting all A's then pretty easily. I can't say the same for the 2nd Quarter lol. I'm on block scheduling, so i only have four classes. I had 2 A's, one of which was in AP SIKE (because it's so easy) and the other was in AP Micro/Macro and Gov. I also had an F in English Honors and a D in AP Bio. Oh well.

^^ lol thestever. i play games like that too. i walk up to random people in the hallway walking the opposite way and snap at their stomachs and watch them cringe helplessly hahahahahahahha. IT'S SOO FUNNY. ESPECIALLY TO RANDOM KIDS YOU DON'T KNOW! after you snap you have to walk away quickly in order to watch the death stare of death, though.

yea senioritis has hit me pretty bad too, esp since ive been out of town a lot visiting schools. I find it extremely hard to sit down and do my work, hence im on CC!!! School doesnt matter bc graduation rank and gpa have been calculated. but when my grades start reaching the 92-93 range I pick it back up, bc I can't bare to start getting b's after never getting them before. And i also try to stay focused bc if i dont get into harvard, which is very likely, i will be taking 7 ap tests and i need to be prepared !!!

Senioritis has hit me pretty hard, though my grades are actually better than junior year (I guess it's not as bad as my junioritis). I had an IB Math paper to turn in today, and it was definitely by far the shortest one in the class. oops...
