<p>i honestly think (and maybe im kind of biased because i didnt get an interview) that interviews can only help or hurt the really borderline applicants... for everybody else, the interview really does not matter....</p>
<p>i agree with you (i got an interview) that it should help borderline candidates but since I am one of those type of candidates, im glad I got an interview...but really only half get them, there cant be a substantial advantage to a random selection</p>
<p>I'm in So Cal, and I didn't. Supposedly there isn't an active interview cmte here? I'm not sure.</p>
<p>I heard from the admissions office that interviews were completely random as well. I heard from someone that they usually only offer them to borderline candidates though, to help in the decision process. So maybe it's either really good or really bad that I didn't get an interview :P.</p>
