...not i
stupid idea for pre-med majors (as it clearly explained in the acceptance packet...), idk why brandeis came up with this anyways

Have 9 more schools to hear from.

i have 9 too. this whole waiting thing is really just not for me.

due to the overwhelming popularity of Brandeis, Brandeis hand-selects nearly 100 students to be members of the mid-year class.

The large number of students who go abroad during the fall as well as the on-going renovation to dorms that means one less dorm open each fall semester limits housing during the fall. Rather than turn away some students who would be awesome members of the community, Brandeis allows some students to enter one semester later.

BUT, Brandeis makes it easy to graduate with the rest of your class by being very kind with accepting credits from other institutions. All my mid-year friends enjoyed their first semester "off," and found it to be very productive. Many studied in Israel, took courses for credit at a wide range of colleges from Georgetown to Community College and/or earned lots of money in jobs!

Nice try at a good "spin", sulsk, but clearly those students accepted for mid-year aren't buying it and are waiting for other decisions.

it's certainly your choice! honestly, the midyear classes tend to be the most close-knit group of kids ever. with the advent of facebook, it's so easy to get together with other mid-years (more so, if you live in like the NY or Boston area), so you don't even feel like you're not on campus. Many look back and say their one semester in the "real world" really provided needed perspective and/or made them appreciate 'Deis.

Sul, while I know midyears are housed apart from others freshman year, are they housed sep. in the following three years as well?

No they are not.

Hmm, that's good news. Thanks stain.

Okay sorry I am completley freaked out....I dont know if you remember me, But My name is Abby, and we went to Pine Hill elementary together, umm we were pretty good friends back in the day, with Abby Harper...Im pretty sure you moved away and so did I somewhere around 4th grade. What a small world, that we are bot accepted at Brandeis mid year 2007, I am in class right now kind of in shock...we should def. talk sometime and catch up or something

Hey Abby! I Just Facebooked You Back! I Miss You Darling!

I am NOT going. I got into the University of Virginia Echols Scholars with a full tuition scholarship and a free laptop. Midyear is a joke! UVA, here i come! Sorry Brandeis....
