is lafayette your 1st choice MacTruck?

My son's stats -
I'll give you the stas below but there are other important factors that likely played a large part in his acceptance. The first was that he was very definite about Lafayette as his first choice school. The second is that he has extensive music performance experience. He went on two all day visits to the school and met with one of the music directors during the first visit. During his second visit he participated in a rehearsal, attended a government class and interviewed with admissions. He did not audition (he will not be studying music), but his essays described some of his performance experiences.

Not a big fan of posting individual stats but my D exceeded Lafayette's Collegeboard.com score for the middle 50% for SAT V and fell within that range for SAT M. Her GPA is superior, takes AP courses and has done very well in the exams.

Has played in a chamber music group and youth symphony for many years. Girl Scout Silver Award and regulary works for community service agencies.

Visited Lafayette twice from West Coast (we have relatives in NY) and did an overnight. Lafayette was a clear first choice. Liked the program, the campus and the students.

Can anyone share insights as to how much of an influence the Greek scene has at Lafayette?

I got accepted ED!

Congratulations to all who got accepted ED! Hope we can meet at college.

do u already go to lafayette?

Certainly I haven't ;otherwise I would have said: See you at Lafayette. But I hope I will actually say it soon.:)
