So.....

Northwestern sent me 3 applications in the past like month....is this typical?

[that's their secret way of telling you, "you're in"!]

CONGRATULATIONS

ehh i got 2. -_-

Yeah I got my 2nd one today

I have gotten 2 within a week.
Does it really mean that they think you are a good fit for northwestern? or is it just their way of actively persuing potential candidates to try and get people to apply?

good indication or it could be a way of letting people know that they went back to the common application!

It's probably just a paperwork issue. Its not like the adcom is sitting around a table planning it out like "Ok we like student A so we'll send him 3 Apps hopefully hell get the hint...hmm, student B's SAT scores were a little low, let's only send her one hopefully she wont apply."

seriously.

I agree with adidas it's just a mailing list thing we probably are on two seperate lists (in my case i filled out an interest form and i signed up for a campus visit) and they didn't pick up on it. It's not a secret code.

Don't think it's any indication of your qualifications. Schools send out apps so people will apply, not get in, and boost their selectivity - ex. I got an app from Harvard >>

My friend has, like, a 3.1 and got a Northwestern app. She won't give it to me. But it's ok, I requested info and they sent it :).

What I'm **ed about is I requested info from USC, too, and they didn't send me an app yet. It's been like three weeks. Lame. I guess I'll just print out stuff from online, but I like having the hard copy...sigh.

A couple of colleges I requested from haven't sent stuff either. It's annoying, I agree I like the feeling of having a hard copy.

Well I was out of the house for a month and I had a stack of college mail about a foot and a half tall from various colleges (INCLUDING Harvard and Yale)...needless to say, I spent the day after I came back opening all that stuff.

:-o Omg You Are The Coolest

I remember getting 3 applications from Northwestern the summer before my senior year. I also remember getting rejected in April. hahahaha. But it's all good...I finally get to go. hooray for transfer apps.

It's not a sign of anything. If you visit the school and sign in you will likely get an application from them. I got a bunch from Upenn and I got rejected.
