does anyone have any ideas or comments about the sober dorming option? How is it? Are people ostracized because they live in the sober dorm? are any other dorms good to live in and still try to stick to a sober lifestyle, etc. thank you for any insight into this

Well I can tell you is that not many people actually obey the no alcohol restrictions on the specific buildings. (Regardless of what the RHDs, RAs, and campus res think).

Also you make it sound like alcohol is a widespread disease across campus that will quarantine you to your own kind. Really, I drank only once in the last 3 months and it’s all fine, I’m not even in a “sober” building. If you don’t like alcohol, just don’t go to parties, where’s there is a party, there is 99.6% chance of alcohol.

Edit: No such thing as sober dorms, just entire buildings. Even then, see first comment.

Delfino is correct, not many people really obey the no alcohol restrictions. I used to live in one of the dry buildings in Roth and it seemed to me the RAs and the people of Hall Council were the ones that partied/drank the most. Okay maybe not the most, but if even the RAs don’t obey it, there is nothing compelling other students to. Basically, it’s kept hidden better than in a non- dry building.

thanks so much for all the input. it’s really helpful
