Soccer Player who wants to go into business

A 26 ACT won’t cut it at Midd. Not even close.

@BatesParent2019 that sounds intriguing to say the least

Trinity was described as a “Wall Street Pipeline” in a Bloomberg headline, though that particular article was heavily critical of the school’s fraternities.

@BatesParents2019 From what I’ve heard, private equity recruitment straight from undergrad is few and far in between. I’ve read that many private equity firms require extensive work experience or an MBA to be considered for entry (associate) level positions and many do not even hire at the analyst level. Furthermore, and the OP specifically mentioned “big investment/banking firms” so I assumed that he would want to see schools where these BBs actively recruit at.

You say that a school such as Holy Cross is actively recruited. However, from a glance at their most recent employment report (Class of 2014), none seem to have broke into private equity.

@indescisiveprep

Whichever way you go, get your official transcript through junior year and your senior year schedule to the coaches that have already contacted you and ask for a preread. A one page CV and a highlights video are also great to send.

Additionally, do the online recruiting questionnaires for other schools. It’s been mentioned that NESCAC, Patriot League and Centennial Conference have target schools. Personally, I would target Bucknell, Lafayette, Holy Cross, Lehigh, Colgate and BU in Patriot. I would do all the recruiting questionnaires in NESCAC. I would do Dickinson, Gettysburg, Muhlenberg and Franklin and Marshall in Centennial Conference. I would do University of Rochester, St. Lawrence, Skidmore, Hobart and Union in Liberty League.

If your parents have any questions they can send me a private message. I went through this process with my son who will be starting up this fall. He didn’t want the burden of upper tier D1 either and opted for NESCAC.

Good Luck!

Math is another way indeed. Babson, Bentley,Providence, Fordham are all good choices. Patriot league, too.
