I’m currently a D3 soccer athlete looking to transfer to a better school for educational reasons while still being able to play soccer. The school that I am at right now doesn’t have a particularly strong soccer program but I am one of the best players on the team. I was wondering what d3 schools provide a great education in business or economics while having a soccer program that I would be able to play in.
Stats?
College 3.7 GPA. High school gpa was poor like 3.1 Sat scores from high school were bad it was 1900 (Old Sat), 29 (ACT).
There is a wide variation in the level of play for D3 soccer, so it is hard to know where you would fit in best.
Look at the schools in the NESCAC conference. Tufts, Amherst and Middlebury have won national championships in soccer and have top economics programs, but all NESCAC schools have competitive soccer teams and strong economics programs.
Brandeis and U Rochester are strong in economics and have competitive teams.
For business, Emory and Babson have strong programs and competitive soccer teams.
I have been looking at babson because they are in the conference at the school i’m currently playing in but what are my chances of getting in as a transfer junior?
