Social Life at Emerson?

I've just been accepted to Emerson College, which was my dream school for much of my high school career. Every description I read made it seem like it was the place for someone like me, driven and motivated to pursue a career in print journalism.

But now that the time to actually decide is finally here, I'm having second thoughts. Mostly because, looking back at my time in high school, I've regretted not making more friends and connecting with people. Granted, I go to a really rigorous school and we don't get much time to socialize, but one thing I've realized about myself is that I really like being around people. I love making friends and I wish I'd given myself more of a chance to do that these past four years. I want a college experience where I can feel like I'm part of the community and I'll have lots of opportunities to socialize (as well as, admittedly, enjoying the party scene). Yes, I want to be a journalist, but I also want to have a good time getting there.

So if there are any Emerson kids out there, please help me out: based on what I want out of college, will I regret going there? Will I feel lost in the crowd, or will I feel even more at home being surrounded by like minds?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
